Community Guidelines
Last updated: July 22, 2026
The short version
Everyone here is a real, identity-verified person. Behave accordingly. Be honest about who you are, treat people the way you would if they knew your legal name, because we do, and take no for an answer the first time.
These Guidelines form part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can cost you your account permanently, with no refund. Because removal is tied to a verified identity rather than an email address, coming back afterwards is not simple.
1. Be who you say you are
Not allowed:
- Impersonating another person, a public figure, or an organisation
- Using photos that are not of you, including stock images, or images taken from someone else
- AI-generated or digitally altered images presented as genuine photos of yourself
- Misrepresenting your age. Your verified date of birth must match your profile
- Operating more than one account, or an account on behalf of someone else
- Attempting to verify using a document that is not yours
2. Nobody under 18
BeyondSwipe is strictly for adults. Age is confirmed from a government-issued document during verification, not from a self-declared birthday. Any account found to belong to a minor is removed immediately. Any attempt by an adult to contact, solicit, or groom a minor will be reported to law enforcement.
3. Zero tolerance: child sexual abuse material
There is no warning and no second chance for this. Content that sexually exploits or endangers a child, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated depictions, results in immediate permanent removal, preservation of evidence, and reporting to the relevant authorities, including Cybertip.ca in Canada and NCMEC where applicable. All uploaded images are automatically scanned using Microsoft PhotoDNA before they are published.
4. Consent, harassment and abuse
Not allowed:
- Continuing to contact someone who has asked you to stop, or evading a block
- Sexual messages or images sent to someone who has not invited them
- Threats, intimidation, stalking, or trying to locate someone offline without their agreement
- Insults, degradation, body-shaming, or abuse, including after a rejection
- Pressuring anyone into sexual activity, images, or meeting in person
A rejection is a complete answer. Responding to one with hostility is one of the fastest ways to lose your account here.
5. Intimate images and sextortion
Sharing, or threatening to share, intimate images of someone without their consent is prohibited and is a criminal offence in many places. This includes AI-generated or altered intimate imagery of a real person. We remove this content urgently on report, permanently remove the account responsible, and preserve evidence for law enforcement. If you are being threatened, do not pay, report it to safety@beyondswipe.app and see our Dating Safety Policy.
6. Nudity and sexual content
Profile photos must be suitable for a public setting. Nudity, sexually explicit content, and content depicting sexual activity are not permitted in profiles. All images are automatically screened before publication. Content involving non-consensual acts is prohibited outright.
7. No commercial activity or solicitation
This is a dating community, not a marketplace. Not allowed:
- Advertising, promotion, or recruitment of any kind
- Driving traffic to paid content, subscription pages, or other platforms
- Offering or soliciting commercial sexual services
- Multi-level marketing, investment pitches, or crypto promotion
- Spam, mass-identical messaging, or automated activity of any kind
8. Fraud, scams and financial exploitation
Requesting money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or financial information from another member is prohibited without exception, however sympathetic the reason. So is directing members to investment platforms, phishing sites, or malicious links, and so is using the platform to recruit money mules. Accounts engaged in financial exploitation are removed permanently and reported. See our Anti-Scam Policy for how to recognise and report this.
9. Human exploitation
Any use of BeyondSwipe connected to human trafficking, forced labour, sexual exploitation, or the coercion or control of another person is prohibited absolutely and will be reported to law enforcement. See our Integrity Policy.
10. Hate, violence and dangerous content
Not allowed:
- Attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious illness
- Hate symbols, hate group affiliation, or dehumanising language
- Threats of violence, glorification of violence, or graphic violent content
- Terrorism or violent extremism in any form
- Promotion of illegal drugs, weapons, or other regulated goods
11. Self-harm and suicide
Content that encourages or instructs self-harm, disordered eating, or suicide is not permitted. We are not a crisis service. If you are struggling, please contact a local crisis line, in Canada and the US you can call or text 988. If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services. If a member's safety concerns you, report it and we will respond with care rather than punishment.
12. Privacy, theirs as well as yours
Do not share another member's private information. Their full name, address, workplace, phone number, messages, or photos, anywhere, on or off the platform. Screenshots of conversations shared publicly to shame someone are a breach of these Guidelines.
13. Honest reporting
Report genuinely and in good faith. Deliberately false reports made to harass someone, win an argument, or retaliate for a rejection cause real harm to innocent people and are themselves a breach of these Guidelines.
14. Conduct outside the app
Our rules do not stop at the app boundary. Where we receive a credible report of serious misconduct, assault, harassment, threats, fraud, or exploitation, arising from a connection made on BeyondSwipe, we may act on your account even though the conduct occurred elsewhere. Safety is not a jurisdictional technicality.
15. How we enforce
We review every report we receive. Depending on severity, history, and intent, we may:
- Issue a warning
- Remove specific content
- Restrict features such as messaging or discovery
- Suspend the account temporarily
- Remove the account permanently, without refund
- Preserve evidence and report to law enforcement
Serious breaches, child safety, sexual violence, human exploitation, credible threats, fraud, skip the ladder entirely and result in immediate permanent removal. Moderation uses a combination of automated screening and human review; automated systems flag content for people to assess, and a human makes decisions in serious cases.
16. If you think we got it wrong
We would rather correct a mistake than defend one. If your account has been restricted or removed and you believe that was wrong, email appeals@beyondswipe.app with your account email and what you believe happened. A person, not an automated system, will review it, and we aim to respond within 14 days. We may decline to explain the details of a decision where doing so would expose a reporting member or compromise a safety investigation.
