The $4 covers the real cost of running your one-time identity check. It also does something quieter but more important: it puts a hard cost on every single account, which is what makes running fake profiles at scale uneconomic. Scam operations depend on creating accounts for free.

Your ID and selfie are captured by Didit, our verification provider, and sent directly to them. They never touch BeyondSwipe's servers. We send Didit the date of birth you entered so it can compare it exactly with the date printed on your document. We use the extracted date only to confirm you are 18 or older and that the dates match, then immediately discard it without storing or logging it. We never receive your legal name or document number. We retain only the result, the session reference and non-identifying warning codes needed to explain a refusal. Once the verification resolves, pass or fail, our system tells Didit to permanently delete your document and selfie. Our account is set to the shortest retention their platform allows.

Most apps ask you to copy a pose or record a selfie video, then compare it to your own profile photos. That only proves your photos are really of you. It proves nothing about who you actually are: someone can pass it using their real face while their name, age, and entire backstory are invented. We check a genuine government document and biometrically match your live selfie to the photo on it. That verifies a real, state-issued identity, confirms your age from the document rather than a self-declared birthday.

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Verification proves someone is a real person using their real identity. It is not a criminal background check, and it says nothing about their character or intentions. What it does is remove anonymity and make people accountable for how they behave. We launch cities in pools of 50 verified users to ensure everyone has a great experience from day one. If your city hasn't reached 50 yet, you join the queue for it. Your verification and your $4 deposit are saved, and nothing expires while you wait.

Your score is based on shared interests across food, travel, lifestyle, and personality categories. The more overlap you have with someone, the higher your match percentage. It's built on substance, not just swiping.

The $4 verification deposit is charged once per account and includes up to three completed submissions. Interrupted sessions and provider errors do not count, and an included retry does not create another charge.

Free members get 10 Connects a day, 3 open matches, and 5 messages in each match before that conversation locks. BeyondSwipe+ is $14 a month and adds unlimited connects, unlimited open matches, unlimited messages, voice notes in chat, read receipts, and bringing back anyone you passed.
